About

Co-founder of Postcode Films, I've worked as a filmmaker in over 25 countries, making creative documentaries as well as work for NGOs and public sector organisations. An experienced self-shooter, I approach projects collaboratively to create authentic, intimately told stories that leave space for humour, humility and humanity.

My feature films have all explored family dynamics, whilst my shorts largely focus on creativity and how we understand the world through art, from Bronze Age rock engravings in the Libyan Sahara to poetry in contemporary Haiti.

I'm a 2024 Ji.hlava Emerging Producer, 2022 Film Independent Fellow, Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program Grantee, 2019 BIFA Springboard Fellow, a member of the European Film Academy and the Royal Anthropological Institute's Film Committee. I've worked with academics from the Universities of Leeds, Oxford, Cambridge, Birkbeck, and UCL to bring their research to the screen.

I've also made short films for Al Jazeera, Channel 4, Current TV and dozens of organisations including UNDP, NSPCC, Save the Children, Oxfam, Rainforest Alliance, Penal Reform International, Sue Ryder, The King's Fund, Games for Change, Nesta, Science Media Centre, and Hospices UK and as an ethnographic filmmaker for Policy Lab.
